Hi all,i`d love to remove the corrosion on these items and what looks like silver paint off the badges, any suggestions?. Also if anyone can identify anything here would be much appreciated. The round black one has the maker mark M1/102.

Can't help for the circular things; I am very curious to see what it is, my self.
Here is the best electrolysis explaination I could find:
Electrolysis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
and thise is what the HJ award should look like.

Hi Mark, top left is the clip from a belt buckle. The spent case looks like it is from a 9mm round?
The three badges I have circled are from a WHW fund raising set of badges which featured anicent Germanic battle sheilds. The single badge I have circled is actually Post war DDR (East German.) The one under the spent case is another WHW badge.
Cheers, Ade.
Hi Ade,thanks very much for the info. I see what you mean with the 3 you ringed, when i first saw them i thought they were very celtic/nordic..looking. What about the 3 aluminium rings Ade, any idea?
Stuka, i very much appreciate any help at all, yours no less than others.I was hoping it might have been easier to remove, rather than learning chemistry tho
