Hello, I hope it doesn't matter if I publish my restored M40 helmet. I know there aren't many supporters of helmet restoration, but there was nothing to lose. It was a bare, clean sheet metal, to which I decided to restore at least part of its lost glory. I hope you will like the helmet.
    restoration is including aging.
restored according to the list as M40 no decal.
    Still waiting for liner :-)

    Best regards George.

Nice restoration work and nice job on the paint, and I agree with you on people not supporting the restoration side of things but if it’s just a repainted shell or unpainted shell with no historical significance why not restore it to what it would of looked like? There’s nothing wrong with that at all. Makes a nice display piece. Are you putting in a new looking liner or an aged one?

I agree that the colour looks good, far better than bare metal. I’m not a fan of the flash rust orange but it will be interesting to see the finished project with a liner.

Thanks guys, yes I agreed yeah orange rust is problem, but it's visible only on photo's in real time it looks like old rust and liner will be aged, I'm aging liner by myself.
For example one of my aged liner.
