M42 helmet, maker?

Article about: Hello, I just got done restoring this helmet with my father. At first it was fully rusted and it had a lot of holes. I filled it with putty and repainted it with feldgrau paint. Added a line

    Question M42 helmet, maker?

    Hello,

    I just got done restoring this helmet with my father. At first it was fully rusted and it had a lot of holes. I filled it with putty and repainted it with feldgrau paint. Added a liner etc. Only thing left for me is to place a heer decal, but i don't know which one to buy. The helmet doesn't have a maker mark.

    Could someone help me figure out which maker made this helmet?

    It's an hkp made by SE in the M42. The lizard eye vent holes are a dead give away.

    Most hkp used the ET decal. Here is a link to Franks site with the decal. Heer Decals – German Helmet Vault

    Here is one on an hkp M42 I have.

    I sold it before I could put a decal on it. I am currently restoring a ET64 m40 helmet, I will put a ET heer decal on that one.
