M42 restoration

I just bought this helmet and im going to restore it, its my 3rd restoration. Does anyone have any ideas of what i should do with it

Make it a nice Heer helmet. If you are ambitious, you could try putting a nice, decent repro decal on it. That's just what I would do.

i was thinking of painting it the feldgrau grey and putting a repro ss decal on it and aging it up some

I would either make a cool camo helmet with some kind of textured paint, maybe some wire with leaves and straw, or buy an original cover or riding goggles to display on it.

Why put a decal on it, its a M42, all it needs is a liner and a chinstrap

ive tried doing camo's before and they dont turn out so well haha, but good idea with the wire i might try putting some on it
