A picture of the "Verschlußstopfen" in it's original colour, bright Red, being shown how it was put in the weapon.
The weapon pictured, is broken.
So, my "Verschlußstopfen" has now been painted Red to match it.

So, from it's relic state to it's present state, has been quite easy so far.
Just doing some research and finding pictures of it has really helped.
The restoration is still going slowly, very slowly
