I just got this today and I love it. Risqué dancing girls, butterflies, flowers and - I think - a dove of peace? It has some Sharpie writing on it (cursed thrift shop protocol!), need some soldering of the 'arms' and I don't know what else. It's just dirty...

    But it's amazing!

Hi Nina, that is great! The design of the dancing girl is similar to those found on later Art Deco bronze and ivory figures.

    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks for your replies. I agree that the imagery appears to have an Eastern flavor. Viewed in it's entirety, in person, I get a more Deco vibe.

The women and their garb were reminding me of vintage photos and silent film depictions of exotic seductresses. My mind briefly flashed on Theda Bara as Cleopatra and then... I saw her.
