Hello folks. I have a buckle here that I don't know what to think of. Do you have an opinion? I'm not sure if the locket was subsequently mounted, although the aging around the star looks good. So far I haven't seen anything comparable. So why might someone have done something like that if there wasn't something like that. Or does one of you know more about it?

I think that it is an adapted buckle, koppelschloss with an added Reichsluftschutzbund abzeichen.

I have seen a couple of very bad fakes of this buckle. Angolia says it is a unofficial RLB pattern. The construction looks pretty good but I don’t think the enamel would hold up to heavy wear.
