Another arrival and one for the database is this nice SA/NSKK nickel over brass buckle. The buckle itself is unmarked but I have a brass SA buckle with the same design eagle and thought they would look nice together in the display case

Two things really, I think Markus you should send that buckle to me, I could then have a one piece buckle to go with them two Secondly chaps look at the prongs or ends of the prongs do you think these could have been made by Berge & Nolte? Just a thought!
Ben
Just looked at my Berge & Nolte SA the boxes are totally different so not made by Berge & Nolte!

Another nice buckle, Ben and now a coupling of this rare variant SA for your collection This is a sphere of buckles in which it is certainly challenging (if ever fully possible) to definitively link to a specific maker with 100% certainty and minus RZM markings. That being said, I have always thought that Overhoff might be at work here due to this style of dimple catch. A bizarre design, probably not appealing to the masses (of SA men or collectors...) and so to my mind the resulting rarity.
Best,
Adam
