This thread has examples of what are considered a 'static' or 'horizontal' swaz SA/NSKK buckle. These are harder to find and some dealers ask relatively high prices for these buckles - often too high.

I did as well but could not ID a maker as unmarked early buckles can be difficult. Markus and others may be able to ID the maker

see no red flags ...... It's a nice buckle .

IMO Maker is Berg & Nolte Lüdenscheid . Not the eagle design .

Buckle looks nice as is - I would not clean it.
