Is that an original finish on the handle,it looks great!
Somehow the early dagger got mated to a late rzm scabbard...
Almost,Ray! You came T...h..i..s close... Next time for sure! But,don't worry -SA's are always out there somewhere! It's just a matter of waiting for just the right one!

So taking into consideration the condition of both the dagger and the scabbard what would the value of this be?
Kind of a tough call, placing a value on this piece....it's in decent shape...maybe ...$350-400?

So how can you tell the difference between an early and late scabbard?
Hi Ray, an early scabbard will have a so called anodised finish (basically being a chemically browned or blued finish applied to the metal to give it the colour) with a clear laquer coating and the scabbard mounts will be solid nickle. Later RZM quality scabbards have a brown or black painted finish and lower quality plated fittings.
Cheers, Ade.

Will the anodized finish be a little more dull?
