So here it is, apologies for the bad lighting in the photos but I had to make do as it is snowing outside and the sky is black! You probably can't make it out from the photos but the blade still retains quite a bit of the original cross graining and it fits the scabbard like a glove
Will take some better shots when the weather improves a bit,
Cheers, Chris.
WOW Chris,, Im stunned!! Tight fit..your not kidding!!...and the crossguard to grip fit is just as tight. No dental floss can get between that! Your pics are fine,,,,but if you want to spoil us more..I feel there will be no complaints. Congrats on a nice pick up. Larry

All green lights on this one for sure! That's a nice early dagger that would fit nicely in any collection.

Well done Chris!
it has a perfect fit
an overall nice catch, like the inlay of the Eagle!
my advise: spray the rust on the scabbard with WD40 every day 3 times and do that 1 week in a row.
You will find that most of the rust can easily be removed with a soft cloth, you even have the chance that some of the original color will return underneat the rust!
I've done this more then once on these early anodized scabbard with " flugrost" it realy helps.
Congratz on this nice dagger!
Cheers,
Ger
Thanks for your kind words gents, I am really pleased with it so glad you like it
Gerrit - Will try that this week with the scabbard and let you know the results, thanks for the tip!
Chris.
