Gentlemen, I have one idea. Even we haven't real dagger belonging Roehm, we can research it. Unfortunately we can do it only by original photos, period newspapers and archive documents. Lets try to solve together. Any help is welcome!

We can identify time of awarding the dagger to Roehm. By having good photographs it’s possible to research the dagger more carefully. Not all archives, have photo in digital formats and in open sources, that case someone personally has to order and visit archive. But for now it is enough what we have in open sources and collections of community members.
The dagger has a lot of differences from standard SA Services dagger. The dagger had a lot of custom work, which includes relief shell of scabbards and ornaments guards on grip. One interesting thing is that wood of handle had two insignias “SA” and “SS”. Besides “SA” insignia is located on top, showing domination of SA over SS.
It is interesting that eagle on handgrip has new shape. Behind the head we can clearly see flat area. On photo with Meyer-Quade (with Christmas dagger) eagle head has carvings. So his dagger was produced when final details design was approved. And it couldn`t be from the same consignment as Christmas dagger.

Researching available photos from archives, first Roehm appearence with dagger is dated 14 of january.
    14.01.1934 'Deutsche Weihestunde' im Sportpalast
Event, organised by war alliance "Кyffhäuser" because of 63 years of Reich founding (Röhm, von Horn, Hindenburg, von Mackensen Blomberg.)
So in the beggining of January all technical moments were already taken into account.

As well there are photos after reception at Hindenburg 1st january 1934. Officers accompanying Roehm have dagger, while Roehm doesn`t. Maybe on other photos from this series it will be possible to see it better. As well if there are photos from exact reception it will be possible to understand if dagger was on Roehm indoors.

Neujahrsempfang beim Reichspräsidenten von Hindenburg am 1. Januar 1934
    Neujahrsempfang von Hindenburg Januar 1934
Ernst Roehm beim Neujahrsempfang von Paul von Hindenburg.

Most likely the dagger was presented to Roehm in period from с 1 to 14 january 1934.
Found indoor photo from that reception. Unfortunately it is in very bad quality, it is even hard to find Roehm.

I look forward to your help.

I will take a shot at it.....Great thread by the way

The grip upper and lower triangles with the dual runes buttons are short and tight not having much space normally seen on other SA and SS produced dagger grips.

There are varied unknown Chained SS contractors with these types of grips..but not all. I would lean on a Thuringia producer due to the low step guards used..not saying its one of the 3 Suhl producers..as there were other Thuringia producers that came almost close compared to Suhl guards.

The grip itself has that skinny Robert Klaas look to it.
The Tang nut is one of those rarely seen large types that many have scoffed about in the past as being fake...not true.

The rest of the fittings are all hand made and difficult to decipher any other recognizable detail associated with known producers.
