Kudos to you for correctly identifying these markings. The majority of collectors refer to these as " Gau " marks, which they are not. The stampings indicate the S A Gruppe.

I think it is just a light strike, so it was done again to make it clearer. Looks fine to me.

RZM = Reichzeugmeisterei
M7/66 is the RZM makers code stamp for Carl Eickhorn. This is called a "Transitional" by US collectors or in German a double maker marked "Doppelhersteller", as it also features the Company logo. Later the Company logo was done away with.

That looks like a very early transitional with nickle silver fittings. The later ones were plated and poorly constructed. The fittings and scabbard are worth more than the blade on that one.
