Could you post more pictures of this dagger for me. Nice detail pictures of that Polish eagle, pictures of the blade, etc. etc.
BTW: Welcome to the forum.

Odd that the owner did not remove the S A runes and the eagle.

here two photos from Polish home army fighters in Warsaw 1944
please note totenkopf tabs, and ss eagle on stug tunic
There is a similar one in the Holocaust museum in Tel Aviv that is marked as a Warsaw gehtto uprising capture. All TR insignia removed though. They mistakenly have it listed as a "German soldiers knife."

Any thoughts gents on this one.....but as an SA collector I am seeing something on the grip that brings the "Polish Uprising thoughts of authenticity" into question. There is a claim that the one and only pic was taken in a museum.......what I see is a dagger laying on a dirty rag. The SA dagger itself is early period and i have no doubts about that......just the story. On 2 posts on this thread it had been stated it was used during the uprising.......what is it that I see on the grip...that gives me this doubt. Bob Coleman brings up a good point of the eagle and runes button...but there is something more....and its not the Polish eagle...or the dotted date applied to the grip...or the word "New"
