Hi just wondered if you could give me your opinions.I have been lent one of these to use and was wondering how good they are?I havevnt yet used it and would like some advice on it please?

Hello matey
A basic detector that should get you started! Unless you are detecting on wet sand or in areas of soil with a high mineral content you should be ok.

I use Garrett Detectors & can also recommend John's choice of Whites

Ahhh now were cooking!!! Cheers guys!! Wet Sand with high mineral content? Groan I was goin down the beach with it!!

Go for a Garret ACE 250. I own 2 and i've used them for 5 years now. a great cheap machine and works on the beach ok.
