Here are my British 17th Lancers, Motto's and Chad's.
Motto is the name of the hat badge, Chad is when they are worn on the sleeve by Sgt's and NCOs.
The silver examples are WWI and the brass Chad...

Al your have a much cleaner Hoard, then Berlin does. I'm starting to think the Berlin Hoard TK's are for Traditional Army badges and not SS. I noticed a similar TK used that way in one of Stonemints...

Here is it's granddad, a Lieb-Husaren TK.
A hard to find original, and a photo of it in use.

I don't believe it will spread, but I wouldn't want one touching another.
I'd suggest using a soft tooth brush, brush it into the recesses, wipe it off and reapply.

Another nice one, it looks like it could use a light cleaning and coat of petroleum jelly, as it seem it have some zinc pest.
It could spread more if not treated. I particularly like this pattern...
It seem very rare to find a Danziger TK with an RZM mark, but this would dispel any chance of it being a Traditional badge or any of the other pre-war uses. So it was a early SS TK, which is a great...
