I rely like the photo's of the ASKARI PRISONERS that are all so very happy. and all of the RAD. troupes guarding them are all carrying LEBELE rifles. rely cool pictures. please keep em coming!
Gwar, WOW! it paints them as front line troupes, Engineer's, flack batteries, food & munitions' carriers, mine layers, Russian front fighters, and used in the battle of Berlin as the photo you posted...
the pictures certainly show that they were combat troupes!

why does it seem to me that they have the most beautiful parts of the country side fro there LAGERS?
after there 6 months of compulsory service ended could they stay in the RAD, or would they have to move on to the HEER?
why do they have LUFTWAFFE and HEER helmets?
in combat were they used as INGERNEERS or as COMBAT INFINTARY? any pictures of them in uniform in combat? and if so what theatre did they serve ?
