don't forget the Augustiner Braustuben. Better than the touristy Hofbrau House. It is on Landsberger Strasse. A 5 to 10 min walk from the Munich Hauptbahnhof.

Nuremberg is a short trip from Munich. Short train ride if you prefer that to your car. I was just in Munich this past spring. You should visit the Augustiner Braustuben for good beer and food!
