Agreed !
It is VERY good, and VERY close, and without comparing, it would be one that could easily slip through the net. !
.. My fathers wing (3833) is obviously the closest example I know to...
I had a 2nd look at the badge, and compared it to "known".
The more I compared, the worse things looked for the badge.
.... I could find no examples at this numbering sequence with bright plate...
Bad.
Kierzun's wing (3830/860) exists in a collection known to me.
The wing should still exhibit the full length around the 38** number sequence, and the wreath has been incorrectly applied.
A milestone indeed ! ... thanks to all who have contributed !

A sticky thread for purely Polish Air force badges has been placed on the forum.
If members would like to re-post examples with descriptions in that thread, then we can build up a PAF section.

GFC, .. good to see you back with us ....
I've checked out a few of the "London" addresses, and the only "technical one" that jumps out is the Military Technical Institute at 61 Stanhope Gardens...
Normally "we" tend to steer clear of trying to value badges here, for the simple reason that the market trends can be in some circumstances way up on expected.
... However, the last "e-bayed" 14th...
Hello Paul, and welcome ...cool militaria
Looks to be a perfectly fine example of a 14 Pulk Ulanow Jazlowieckich Spink manufactured badge ..
Cheers

I've no problem with that, comparisons of existing items whether good or bad helps us all to avoid future pitfalls.
There will be circumstances of disagreement, ... that is to be expected, ..

Hello Rafal,
... Yes !! I must admit I was surprised myself.
My mother had always talked about the "badge" my father had given her, .. and I had assumed it was one of the parachutist metal...
And a closer scan ..
My mother with badge on lapel, when she was 21.
So the photo was taken after September 1944.

It's a 1SBS sweetheart pin.
I've shown one to some veterans of the 1SBS, and they confirmed this.
The design seems to have been lifted from some official notepaper of the 1SBS, ... but the badge...
Would I be right to assume the Tel Aviv "Rubin" would be the rarer variant ?
