Russ,
What a stunning cross this is. I love Carl Dillenius crosses, they simply exude quality and this example is magnificent.
The ribbon is also a real beauty which makes this cross complete.

Hi Greg
It's a mark I've certainly never seen before, but I've only been collecting Imperial EK's for around 12 years. I have looked on both WRF & WAF and not come up with a B marked cross in any...
They are special Ralph, unique to that one casting and it's what keeps me coming back for more.
Ken
It's been a little while since posting a new EK on this thread but this one has just joined my collection this very day.
It has everything that I have grown to love about this award over the years...
Really nice conversions to 1st class EK's. I've not yet seen one to purchase but when I do I think after seeing these it will be a must to add I feel.
Ken
Stuka, that is a really beauty

A few weeks ago I decided that my three uncased EK1's needed a better home than just the little plastic medal sleeve I'd left them in.
I found in a local art store three nice brown cardboard boxes...
Well worth a pick up Greg
I posted a few days ago my knew unmarked EK1 by C.F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim and promised a little group shot with my 2nd class.
The 2nd class is a slim frame example with 'Blued' sheet steel core...
2 very nice crosses Blackcat1982, I do love the salty crosses as much if not a little more than the minty ones.
Ken
Joel, what a great collection of EK's. Some truly lovely crosses and 3 Non-com into the mix as well. I really must find an Imperial EKII in a box to add to my collection as well.
Ken
A beautiful collection of Bars and EKs Steve. I am just starting to branch out from collecting single Imperial EKs by adding Imperial EK bars into the mix.
Ken
Thanks Joel
I must agree, the EK is the focal point and always will be. Just nice to add that something different to my EK's.
Ken
Great idea Greg lets hope we see more.
These are great collections Gentlemen and a real pleasure to see them.
I have just started collecting Imperial EK bars as well now and have three in my...
Thank you Joel, it took me a little by surprise seeing them all together at the same time. Simply love this award.
Thank you Phil, it's a pleasure to show them all together
Ken
Thank you Greg for your kind words. Imperial EK awards are really my passion and I have set myself the task of collecting as many different makers marks as possible. I still have a way to go.
I also...
Thank you Ralph it means a lot, the time has just flown by.

Today I took full advantage of the STAY at HOME rule that quite a lot of us are being told to do to Protect our Health Workers and slow the spread of COVID19. They really are Hero's and have a very...
And it is well worth showing off Greg. It is a real gem to behold.
Ken
Joel, I thank you for your appreciation of this cross. It has entered my collection in the top 5 for detail and character. I would love now to find a 1st class Zimmerman. The search is on.
Ken
Thank you Greg for the extra info regarding the blued steel core. It certainly has a crisp detailed core. The little rust that there is shouldn't get any worse now thankfully.

I've been a bit quiet of late due mainly to my shift pattern over the last few months as well as being a little lazy when on rest days. I fully intend to make more time this year to the forum, at...
