Well i guess i helped this community by my mistake of "cleaning" the dagger.What i learned is "always leave the item as it is".Thank you all for you help!

Thats what i did cool militaria, i used WD40 oil and a brass brush (which hopefully didnt damage the crossgrain).Thanks for the suggestion!

I used smooth cloth, oil and vinegar , i didnt repolish the blade.The original polish is still there.
I did some cleaning and this is the final result.I hope you like it! cool militaria
