I concur with all the above ....very pleasing! ..... although it always makes me wonder what the original owners would think of our obsession for matching numbers on what was a utilitarian item ( "Hans, hand me your bayonet, I need to open zis can of herring...... sure, I'll give it back" )

Here is a link from our forum here that lists the makers of your bayonets. The "crs" stands for Paul Weyersburg and the years 42 and 43 k98 bayonets data and registry
This link is very useful for the K98 producers.
