Got this beauty coming to me, 1934 production Seitengewehr made by E. & F. Hörster, Solingen, the frog is the early Type with a really nice Unit Marking.
Any Idea on the Unit Marking? It looks like 4/ Aufkl. Rst. 6 II - any idea on the exact Unit? Any help and Opinions appreciated!

Interesting early S/155K, the frog could be made from older S98/05 frog, the unit should be Aufklaerung Abteilung nr.6/ 4.Company. Scabbard should be matching. When there really a Rgt is so Aufkl.Regiment nr.6.

    Hello,

    a nice S84/98 from 1934.

The Scabbard has the same number?

The frog is a modified WWI model 98/05. Has been narrowed at the sides and provided with a safety strap.

    The troop stamp 4./Aufkl. Rgt 6 means= 4. Kompanie, Aufklärung-Regimentes (motorisiert) Nr. 6 = 4th Company, Reconnaissance Regiment (motorized) No. 6

II is the uniform Set stamp. A soldier had 3 sets of uniforms.

    Regards

    Thanks!
Yes, Scabbard is matching to the Bayonet. Got it directly from the Family. That its a modified WW2 Frog is really interesting to know, love these items with especially long history.
