Hi all!
I'm hoping to get some background info on this bayonet I have inherited. I've read so many different articles/threads online and I haven't been able to come up with any definitive answers.
Thanks you!!

Hello Kendra ...the bayonet itself is authentic...the etching needs to be authenticated by our Moderator Anderson.
Too many of these dress bayos are ruined by postwar etches to hump up the value.
Be patient and Anderson or another Bayo Gent will be along shortly.

I personally would remove the fingerprints from metall parts, as this will cause a forever etching into blade, oil or only wipe off is important in that case, otherway the etch looks like E.Pack piece. The press button was unscruwed one or 2 rotation.
Yes..needs a clean. This is E.Pack's pattern Nr. 10 "Flieger", not seen that often, but well executed here, and I'd be happy with it as authentic.
