Marko, Not a fake it's TR period that at some point been reblued which is why it looks relatively untouched. There are reproductions out there but not in really large numbers and it's wise to be cautious because I've seen more than one guy who has been fooled. Best Regards, Fred

Not really untouched though it has been reblued. The signs of the flashguard being used as a hammer is often seen on bayonets used by Police, but we can't be sure.
These 1940 Eickhorn bayonets are interesting as in that year you can find examples with the full maker name, the old "S code" and letter code "cof". Bakelite grip is corrrect for year, though appears to have been removed. Scabbard obviously from another bayonet.
