In the absence of Mosin's photos, a question for Aws; that's an interesting "furry" leather frog, any marks?

I once had (since sold) a Spanish contract K98 bayonet with an identical "furry leather" frog, very rough with marks that were unreadable. I always wondered if it was late war production.

The Spanish contract bayonets have a WaA253 (where they were not removed in the factory) which would make them earlier than the 1941 Portuguese contract bayonets. As for the frog it's hard to say because some later ones have a smoother finished leather. Best Regards, Fred
