    Hello,

I would like to show you a S98/05 of the German Kriegsmarine (Navy).

It is one of the pieces that were overhauled and issued again from 1937 due to bottlenecks in the production of S84/98.
This S98/05 is a WW1 veteran and was used by the Reichswehr (1920 stamp) to the Wehrmacht.
It was adapted to the S84/98 standard.

It bears the troop identification O.2879, which means that it belonged to the Baltic Sea station (O= Ostsee = Baltic See)of the Kriegsmarine (Navy).

It is supplied with a matching frog, which was specially produced again. On the back is the acceptance stamp of the Navy.

    Regards

Looks like period piece, refurbished in Weimar, under Ostsee are probably remains of Reichswehr unit, which was removed, about the E/M stamp on frog is really large to compare other KM pieces so certainly there was more as 3 variation of KM proof.
