KS98 Etched - Paul Seilheimer

I have compared the etching and the Dodo bird on the blade etch is Bad.

Actually the style of the bird is correct for this Paul Seilheimer etching which was designed for Seilheimer by the FW Holler company based on their ES 102 design, but you are correct, it is a fake. The main defect is the top border line should run parallel with the top edge of the etching. It doesn't, there looks like a 2mm difference between the left end where it nearly touches the top border and the right hand end where it is much wider. No Solingen Master Etcher would have made such a mistake. It is a post war copy.
The other possible issue is the rivets look suspect and suggest some tampering, possible disassembly.

I tried to claim it at the dealer Ratisbon. After a month and several messages, no response. I expected a different approach.
