There is a number on the "clip" of the scabbard which I believe is 1704.

Ok, thats the serial number, what about the blade, can you seen anything? near the rim, there maybe markings where the grip ends and the blade begins.

This special kind of blade´s named as "carbine-Blade", (Karabinerklinge).
