The original K98 bayonet, produced by FW Holler Solingen during the 1943.
But these bayonet was reworked after the war, for some other armies.
(Original steel finishing line as well as blue, are totally missing after reworked.)

The only reworks that I have seriously tracked are the TR period refurbished bayonets. Being in agreement with Vedran that the one here appears to be postwar, but relatively minimal as compared to some others that were more heavily reworked. Best Regards, Fred

would be an original F.W. Holler, Solingen 43 ,refurbished at 622 serial number, for another country ,¿correct?
    thanks all.

Exactly, I think that is Portuguese k98 bayonet, but I'm not 100% sure.

Hey mate, i know this is an old thread, but at the end did you find out the back story of ur particular piece? Because i found out that my 98k bayonet has simular conditions to yours, which are, they both got a strikethough on the serial numbers, a foreign set of number markings on the pommel and they both got the WaA519 waffenstamp. So i guess they might have been sent to the same foreign army postwar, and im quite interested in its back story too, thanks

The bayonet in old thread is different way stamped, same as the grips were replaced.
