Servus, mates !

Today I wanna show you this Wehrmacht "duty" -bayonet, (M84/98 III), made by Hörster in 1942

WaA 519 (Wehrmachtsabnahme-Amt)

It´s a pretty worn, but, not really "heavy used" bayo ...

beautiful worn piece.

I know the ones from 1942 almost only with the plum-colored finish.
The one on yours is blue and black?

WaA is the Waffenamt - Weapons Office.
This authority was responsible for testing the products. Numerous groups of inspectors from the WaA were responsible for checking the product specifications at the various armaments factories or in one district. Each group had its own number.

A Wehrmachtsabnahme-Amt never existed. The Wehrmacht had no acceptance or fiscal stamp.
