Picked this bayonet scabbard at the estate of a local German professor here in the US. Unfortunately, there was no bayonet. Does everything look authentic? Particularly the troddel? No markings on the frog or scabbard.

Picked this bayonet scabbard at the estate of a local German professor here in the US. Unfortunately, there was no bayonet. Does everything look authentic? Particularly the troddel? No markings on the frog or scabbard.
The scabbard and frog are authentic for a KS98 bayonet. The troddel looks authentic, but I'm not sure that's real aluminum thread, its not flattened as usually see on ones that have had a few knocks.

Sheath and frog belong to a dress bayonet.
The Troddel / knot for Unterführer of the Waffen-SS is original. It is a service pattern.
