To my knowledge is the bajonet a straight forward " commercial" type, with no Waa or what so ever.
But the scabbard is totally new for me, i know the regiment number would stand for.
    2nd Pioneer division
    2nd Compagny
    Weapon number 162
I don't have a clue about the FWH.
Can anybody tell me more about this paticular type?

p.s. The scabbard hasn't any Waa as well

    hello Andy thanks

I know about the existence of W.U.K with regiment numbers.
but I've never seen these before, are they scarce ?

    have they been swapped?
or have the old types been called back to a depot

    Hello,
    Pionier Divisions did not exist...
This markings means : 162th bayonet issued within the 2. Kompanie of Pionier bataillon 2
(I hate to see bayonets taken apart, it often damages screws, like here)
    Thanks

    hello

    I know about the screws.
that's why I made my own tool , it must be made perfectly in width internally and externally and the thickness.
This way with a little patience, you won't damage anything
This bayonet was probably opened a long time ago.
there was a lot of rust and sand.
Someone has also tried to sharpen it.
    Very light but still
I am also not a fan of opening it.
but in european theater they were used more in barns than cherished in the house.
And that's why I come across a few that need a little attention.
    rust is rust

Andy thanks for the response, learned something again

    Just like this tread.
Sometimes I come across bayonets that do not fit in my collection.
for example, not equal numbers or before 1934.
But once in a while I come across something that I can't ignore, purely out of curiosity
I once understood that about 3000 were made of it (I think once read an article by Andy)
If anyone knows more about it, I'd love to hear it

Andy is the keeper of the S.84/98 bayonet database and has I'm sure more exact knowledge of the number sequence for the Weimar era Naval bayonets. The W.u.K. bayonets were reworked during the TR era for reissue. But the ones I'm familiar with might have multi-generation components - that were all renumbered to match. As for the thread starter Behörden example, to me it looks like it's probably one of the later W.K.C. manufactured types as the early ones have more of a high polish type of finish. Best Regards, Fred
