    4. Aviation supervisory troops = Green

    ooh, could it be?
    would that make it more rare?

    Although I think I have seen green on quite a few in my searches on the web

    Hello Eric,

    Is this from a regulation or sword company handout? It looks like it is from a Luftwaffe regulation with reference to aviation and flak.

    Hello All,

    I am not familiar with any of this information here. Is there a reference or catalog with this in it?

    That would explain the Oak Leaf on the blade , Jager .

    STop!!! Where do we get Jager from?? Really!!! This list says Green is jager and the piece of felt is green. Where does this list come from? Oak leaves means Jager! Post 1942 when the jager insignia was adapted! Oakleaves are a symbol throughout Germany not only for the army. They stood for physical prowess, victory, strength.....
    Jumping to conclusions like this based on these simple observations is not good. I have asked about this list to document where it came from. Is it regulation? Did it come from a sword manufacturer? Or is it just somebodies neat idea to sell pieces of cloth for a bayonet mortisse? I think the later!!! IMHO!

    Hi Fred.
    I guess you need to ask Ade where the list comes from.
    Here is the link from the discussion...........https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/k98-b...62/?highlight=

    on the discussion where Ade placed the list I see the last reply was by Sleepwalker.

    see that reply here:
    https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/k98-b...-3/#post732605

    He has a different list

    Heer (Army)

    Infanterie = white (not general red!!)
    Grenadiere = white
    Panzergrenadiere = meadow-green
    Jäger = Grün
    Artillery = red
    Kavallerie = gold-yellow
    scout = gold-yellow (Kavallerie-tradtion)
    Pioneers= black
    motorcycletroops = cooperbrown
    Drivers = lightblue
    Tanks = pink
    which he says can be found here:

    Google-Ergebnis für http://9thssaa.tripod.com/waffenfarbe.JPG

    and more specifically to look for the attached image below which is at the bottom of the page he says to visit

    And that being said, mine must be the "Grass Green" (it is a dark green) for Armored Infantry?

    This would also maybe make more sense as to how my Dad got it? Him being in tanks and maybe having come across a German Tank Unit with Armored Infantry following it?

    maybe?

    if the list is in fact accurate, but I see there are a couple of objections to it there already.

    I wish I could just delete this reply now
