I have seen this one on catawiki, I am really tempted to bid. Everything looks good IMO(hard to age patina like that) Also it seems to have a dent on the top, but that might be the Light refelcting of the helmet in some way. The seller has not sold anything on catawiki before so that makes me kind of worried. When buying something so expensive.
I agree. I think I'll give it a try also.

Looking to sell anything in your collection irish1965? if I dont win this one I am still looking for a nice solid shell.
Best regards Kai
What kind of shell?? WW1 or WW2. And I think German?
Cheers Paul
I mostly collect WW1 shells, do you have any german or french WW1 shells that you are looking to clean out?
I'm sorry, I have just two French helmets. A curassiers helmet and a nice blue helmet with a named veterans plate. I have some pickelhaubes and just four M16 helmets. I'm still slowly building up my collection and will not sell at this moment.
Be patient and take your time, there enough around.
Cheers Paul
A small snapshot I would like to share:
Love the camo helmets, I have right now 9 M16 helmets and 2 austrian M17s, looking to expand more to the french side. I am having a hard time finding militaria in europe. I found that ratisbons is a great site to buy and sell, but they dont have auctions so frequently. Ebay is a bit mixed alot of fakes and some overpriced items.
Paul, it’s a shame the photos are not a little bit more hi res but I think this one is OK. Don’t forget that these camos were mostly painted after July 7th 1918, so would not have had a long time left to accumulate damage. There are no dents on the shell - that’s just the lighting. I’m not seeing anything contrived and all wear looks commensurate. The brushstrokes which cover the entire helmet seem a bit at odds with the more regular individual blocks that we normally see but this leads me to suspect this one may have been reissued at some point and the camo was applied over the top and this is something I saw quite recently.
