SS buckle, original or not?

Hello everyone, it has been offered to me this SS buckle, but I am not so expert to understand if it is original or not. It could be (if original) a dug up buckle in my opinion. It is marked 822/37. Thanks for your help

The obverse appears to be cast, surely. The reverse has strange wear that can only have happened by hand. I would pass solely based on that.

I would leave it alone unless it was free, if it is cast someone has gone to a lot of effort to render this buckle down to no value
