Luftschutz Home Front Helmet?
A helmet from my stepdad's collection that I'm gathering information on.
After doing some searching, I think this could be a Luftschutz Home Front Helmet.
If anyone could confirm authenticity and any other general info on it, that would be very much appreciated.
Looks like an average condition example. I can check the decal later as I'm not at home but first glance it think it is ok.
The liner is unique and welcome comments by others who focus on civil helmets. Don't think I've seen one like this. But there were many variations.

There were many different liner configurations with these Luftschutz helmets, unfortunately the decal is a fake.

Yep fake decal.
It appears painted black rather than dark blue although it may just be a trick of the light?by Schwerpunkt
It seems to be a layer of black paint that is applied over the blue layer, could mean it was post war overpainted and someone removed the paint?
Interesting, I might pop it in my lightbox and get some updated pics for better clarity.
Could I ask how to tell the decal is fake? Many thanks!
