    Question Winter Camo Gasmask canister

    Hello,

I would like to have some opinions on my gasmask canister. It is a period piece and it has original green paint. It looks like it was painted in white, but I don't know if it was period done. The canister also has a yellow greenish color.

It looks like the white paint was there before the rust.

    Thanks in advance!

    I say no........

my reasons - looks a fluro yellow to me so I'm guessing its a post war paint for a fire service ( and a work colleague of mine from Germany said they still used these into the 1960's ) also, I don't see any need to white paint the inside either?

I would agree with Dan. That yellow is not a war time color that I've seen
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Danmark has read my mind, the yellow and white looks more like the Feuerwehr re-use of the wartime behalter.
