KIA Wehrpaß Westermann- death card

Hi guys,


I have this wehrpaß of Carl-Konrad Westermann, born at 10.08.1915 in Altona.

He died in 21.02.1943 near Loitz (Germany) if I can read it well.

He isn’t registered in the volksbund, do you guys know if there’s a death card? So I know where he is burried.

I tend to visit the graves of the soldiers I got a wehrpaß from.

His cause of death is noted as Unfall: Absturz (accident: crash)





On the rear of his casualty card it says he was buried in Neustädter Cemetery in Magdeburg. I can't find an entry for Carl on the Volksbund, so he may still be buried there.

Just to fill a few bits in, he entered the military in 1934 and page 22 shows he was awarded -

The wounded Bordfunker was an Unteroffizier Karl Six. The fuselage code for the aircraft was C9+GM and it was the right engine that caught fire and caused the crash having taken off from Greifswald for a training sortie.
