    Nice items Brodie !
Thanks! The Wehrpaß and Soldbuch are mine. The SS-Soldbuch is not, unfortunately. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an example come up for sale. I can only assume they are extremely rare, which makes sense.

SS Soldbücher with the SS Runes cover are fairly common to be honest although the design sometimes varies in minor ways. I used to have 5 such examples to soldiers in Das Reich, Totenkopf, Polizei-Division, Nord & Hitlerjugend and this one was sold last week:
Crain's Militaria - SS Totenkopf Soldbuch, Demjanskschild

It is very common to see SS soldiers issued with Heer Soldbücher.

I can't believe that these are still catching people out. If someone is buying SS ID documents, whether they are Soldbücher or Ausweise or the same that show Knights Cross winners or Tiger tank units, then if it is being offered too cheaply an alarm bell should ring and if they are being offered for a lot of money then without experience people should use a bit of common sense and do their homework before handing over their hard earned money.
I agree. In this day and age I cannot understand why anyone would be taken in by such items when they are clearly fantasy items. I hope your buddy can get his money back Chuck303.

I agree, a fake. Let me tell you why. First the typography is all wrong. This is NOT Fraktur fonts, but Old English. They look sort of similar, but there are differences. This was obviously from a printshop program for a computer word processor. I know because I tried it myself to make a fake SS document. (Not to sell, but just to see if I could) Also, the "SS' insignia were Runic not Fraktur. Nice try, but no cigar!

That's not why they are fake, that is just a few of the errors in design. They are fake because nothing like them existed.

There are numerous threads on the forum and just about every other forum going back years relating to these piles of junk , can't beleive that people are still loosing good money on these things . As i've said in the past some folk were paying £750 plus on Fleabay for these fantasy items , all coming from Poland via someone who is nothing more than a common thief based in the UK , what was the source of this one ?

It's the "few errors in design" that help identify them as fake. The Organizationbuch der NSDAP has very specific rules about typography in National Socialist publications. Ironically the fraktur font was officially banned by the Party because 1. It's difficult read and 2. Because it was considered to have "Jewish origins".

The fact that makes them Fake is, they where made 10 years ago in Poland.
They are literally cover in nazi imagery, which makes all the nazi Fan Boys swoon.
If your silly enough to pay good money for this junk, you shouldn't collect.
Everything can be researched within twenty minutes and if you can't do that find another hobby.
