Two intriguing questions for the professionals
One: Were German soldiers in ww2 required to carry their Wehrpasses at all times?
Two: Is there a simple test for looking for signs of blood on old documents, artifacts?

Re: Two intriguing questions for the professionals
Hi Jan,German soldiers handed in their W/P & had their S/B's. As for blood, isn't there a U/V light that shows it up? Or is that just when using Luminol

Re: Two intriguing questions for the professionals
Difficult one on the BLOOD!
I assume you want to check dark, red or violet items as you should just see it on the others.............
Blood will soak up the light of a UV source so will not reflect back, this will then show up as black, however on ww2 type document, they shouldnt shine back as much either so it will be difficult to prove a blood stain but will give you an idea if there is some there or not!
If you want something a little more C.S.I Miami then you will need something like a BLUESTAR® Forensic Mini Kit.
Good luck
