What kit would naval infantry have .The picture of three sailors? Of the black sea fleet in most refrence books does not help

The naval infantry is the same as the infantry, the same equipment. But there was designed special uniforms overall like. If someone interested I can post here some drawings. Never seen original example.

1941/42 or 1944 battles in Sevastopol? OR, the postwar - Cold War years where there was specialised Marine Battalions stationed in the (closed) region?

Naval infantry during the 1941/42 period in battles of odessa etc the black uniform ?

I had no images available from the defence of Odessa. However, here I show some from Sevastopol 1941/42:

I have my ex-wifes grendfathers archive, he was born in Sevastopol but served in Baltic fleet. The pictures he has in file is from his friend , the reverce of the pictures has inscription - Killed in action in 1942 year, I'll post them later...

To have a complete naval infantry uniform do you need maxim belts
thay are hard .

Hi Daniel, the Maxim belt in cloth is hard to obtain. I am lucky to have one for my Maxim.

Have you thought about using a cheaper to find Vickers belt? There is not much difference between them. See the pic of my Vickers belt with inert.303 rounds.

But not every man wore them anyway. It is just a classic image though

I am in the middle of creating an impression of a Naval infantryman, ca-1941. I do not know WHAT I am waiting for to complete it...

Anyway, I was lucky to find a decent pair of Maxim belts thanks to a Russian associate. I believe there are still some out there to be had...
