Great photos of the Soviet marines and Naval infantry, has anyone any photos of the rubber equiptment they would use when carrying out amphibious landings ??

Soviet marines carried out an assault at Merekula , Estonia on 14/2/44 does anyone know exactly what this unit was ? Is it in your book Maxim ?

No Paul,this is just documental history of operation in Murmansk front (1941-1944)and small info about operation in China against Japan(summer 1945).Book made for US Marins..Strategy and tactics

Dim,

Who is this Kolya (and his mother who wrote on the reverse of this photo) to you? Is it your family?

I understand that he was killed in Sevastopol in 1942r along with the two other men.
