Soviet Navy 1945 Parade Chest Cords
Hi all,
I am not too familiar with Soviet Navy uniforms, so I would like to ask a question about what these cords on the chest of each soldier in the picture are for. Thank you.

It's a whistle.

Those are chains from which the bosun's whistle worn by each of these men is suspended. It's a traditional accoutrement seen in many navies the world over.
