Just thought I'd share at least one thing quickly as I'm a new member.
This is a Soviet Navy (Officer's if I'm not mistaken) Visor Hat that I picked up.
It's got some significant wear on the inside; the leather sweatband shows signs of cracking from what I'm guessing the wearer sweating. The diamond leather marker's label on the inside is for the most part worn out and there's darker spots from the wearer's head resting on the inside of the hat.
But the outside on the other hand is quite clean and taken care of. There's no real signs of any deterioration aside from the fact the white piping is a bit dirty and the brass cord is a tad bit loose as well as the connections for the visor.
The hat has the upgraded cockade from the base one (At least I think so. I remember seeing a cockade where there was only the round cockade with the anchor at the center and a red star at the top of it with a hammer and sickle inside the circle enamel) with the surrounding leaves. It has visor leaves attached to the visor. The buttons connecting the brass cords to one side of the hat to the other have the proper anchor insignia on them.
But anyway, I hope you enjoy the share !
