822/38 SS Buckle
Hi! I saw rzm 822/38 the photos look great! I can't tell why this is fake!
The color of aluminum maybe looks too dark in the photo. The rzm stamp
looks very real. What is the give a way that this is fake?

Moved from the SS Rogues Gallery due to the impending discussions - regards, David

Re: 822/38 SS Buckle
Just to set the ball rolling, here is detail of two original 822 SS buckles (1937 and 1938) by Richard Sieper und Sohn, Lüdenscheid.
The rest I will leave to the SS experts.

These are cast from real buckles, very hard to tell apart, at the moment the fakers cannot get the colour of the metal correct, the fakes are darker than the orginals and if measured the fakes are smaller than the real ones, also there are cast marks on the buckles/prongs ect, hard to spot
