Alu SS buckle 822/37

Cannot see cast flaws, however rear pic a bit burred, upturned prong sleeve and grey metal not the white aluminium from WW2, if you can get clearer pics of rear that would be great, but at the moment I am with Ivan, not a fan of this one due to the above reasons.

Ivan have you got a 37 to post for reference?

From the SS makers thread, original 822/37, look at the metal colour compared to the one shown, you even see the silver wash remains

Not a fan. The rope under the swastika looks messed up. Could be from use but worth a closer look.

In my opinion, a cast fake.

Interesting how the two separate sets of images, almost illustrate quite different buckles. This especially so to the reverse lip. They are however one and the same.

The prime indicators to myself, however not exclusively so is the lifeless dull grey metal and there are signs of casting buckles dotted on both the obverse and reverse of the said SS fake.

My opinion as no more and no less.

David is bang on Krisse, as I thought a cast fake, wrong colour, typical fake prong sleeve and you can now see cast flaws to the rear
