Aluminium 822/37 Variant?

Hi all,

This is the only SS item I own, having picked it up in a market years ago for small money.

It was confirmed shortly after as genuine on another forum (I hope it's also confirmed here!)

My question is, when it was confirmed as OK, it was pointed out that it was (if memory serves) a "Rope behind the eagle head" rare variant.

I see the sticky thread real v fake 822/37 shows the same "rope" feature in the genuine one.

Is it a rare version? If so, how rare?

The Roller-Bar looks like a replacement...they forgot to crimp the bottom lip afterwards, leaving it flat...Compare with this example...

These are being reproduced in the Czech Republic...

Interesting. Is the rest of it OK? Is the sleeve on the bar good?

The 822/37 2nd type (JP. Redeuilh) is heavily faked, IMO your buckle is original but as stated something has happened with the post/prongs assembly

For me original buckle with prong sleeve expanded through use, seen quite a few like this
