    I need your help. I have a beautiful opportunity and I would like to know if it's a false flag or not
    For a very cheap price, I can catch this SS blet buckle today. I only have these photos for the moment. What do you think about it ? Unfortunatly I don't have better pictures.....

    Heavily deteriorated buckle and bad pics but I think that it is a Hammerhead buckle, the rare variant with later catch type

    What do you mean by "Hammerhead" ? It's concerning the eagle's head ?

    I have also the impression that this buckle was painted during or after the war. Maybe I should clean it.

    Yes the Hammerhead SS buckle is a early unmarked nickelsilver buckle with two variants described by JP Redeuilh, the first variant with C type catch is a scarce buckle but your buckle is the rare variant (catch with feets)

    I concur with Ivan, original Hammer head in rough condition though

    Do you think that this green color is original ? Or maybe a consequence of 72 years in the ground..
    Because you were talking about a "nickelsilver buckle".

    No these were silver in colour, that's from being in ground and made from nickel
