The Green Unmarked by Overhoff are extremely hard to find. This particular example is not painted but phosphated.

RZM 155/40 SS Type 1 (marking by the catch)
About 20 years ago I named this Type as "Type 1" since position of its marking follow the position found on Assmann's aluminum SS buckle in 1939 and 1940

RZM 155/40 SS Type 2 (marking under post-sleeve)
This is the classic Type 2 with marking under post-sleeve assembly.

RZM 155/40 SS (Green Finished)
155/40's factory green painted are rare to find. The Type 1 been even extremely rare. I am posting here two beautiful Type 2 which both belong to Ric, WAF Forum Moderator. Please pay attention to the shade of green the top buckle is painted since this is the only shade of green found (so far) on painted originals! The extremely rare phosphated at the bottom is, so far, the unique example I personally know.

This is an unique variant I had the chance to own. The front seems to never had been silver sprayed, only dull dark grey primer remains, probably for remittance to a W-SS order.

On this silver example the finish was obtained not by regular silver paint over primer but by some kind of plating or anodization.

Grey finished
Even if it is possible, like with the green tint, to find several mild variants of the grey ones, do not confuse this finish with a washed out silver. The grey's are really dull grey. There should be no way to confuse them with a dullish silver.
